Stonehedge is pleased to be partnering with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and hosting a closest to the pin (CTP) skills competition onSaturday September 3rdto benefit the 2016 Rally for the Cure campaign. ThePINKcups are our way of bringing attention to this fundraising event as well as helping increase breast cancer awareness in Rutland County!
Here is how our Rally for the Cure skills competition will work…
The event will run all day Saturday September 3rd – from 7:30AM until we close at dusk!
The event entry fee is $20 and all proceeds going directly to the Rally for the Cure campaign.
You can participate in the Rally event as part of a normal golf or FootGolf round or simply “swing by” (pun intended) and just compete in the Rally competition – it will take only a few minutes! And wait, there’s more (I’ve always wanted to say that!)… Stonehedge will even loan a club, a tee and ball to any contestant that doesn’t have equipment. So, there goes that excuse!!!
Each contestant, regardless of how well they do in the skills competition, will receive all of the following:
a FREE hot dog lunch at Stonehedge on the day of the event,
a Rally for the Cure prize pack (only available to contestants that sign up prior to the competition),
a one-year subscription to a Condé Nast Magazine of their choice such as Golf Digest, SELF, Architectural Digest or Bon Appétit (a $10 value in itself),
a half-hour of golf simulator rental time at Stonehedge Indoor Golf (a $13 value in itself), and
entry into the national Rally for the Cure GRAND PRIZE – an all-expenses-paid “golf experience” for two (2) to either TPC Sawgrass or TPC Scottsdale! 2-nights lodging, 2-days of instruction at the TPC Academy, lunch both days and 2-days golf following your morning golf lessons!
And we haven’t even mentioned what happens if you win our local competition… The contestant getting their ball the closest to the pin (or in…) on Hole #1 will win a new pair of adidas golf shoes.
Help us make our first Stonehedge Rally event a memorable occasion – call the clubhouse today to sign-up (802.773.2666). A great event, some great prizes and a GREAT cause!
And here is some additional information for those interested in knowing more about the Rally for the Cure campaign and the Susan G. Komen Foundation…
Rally for the Cure® is a grassroots program that works to educate women about breast cancer and to remind them to get their annual screening through volunteer organized golf, tennis and social activities. When breast cancer is found early, there are more treatment options and a better chance for survival. Early detection is key in the fight against breast cancer.
Since 1996, Rally has enlisted over 35,000 volunteer Ambassadors to champion breast cancer awareness in their community. These passionate, dedicated Ambassadors have helped educate over two million people about the importance of early detection.
Rally events do more than spread awareness. Fundraising activities at Rally events have generated over $73 million for Susan G. Komen™ helping them advance their mission. Thanks to programs like Rally, Komen is the largest private funder of community-based breast health education, screening and treatment programs in the United States.
And look for our beverage cart to be making the rounds Thursday thru Sunday starting in July!
